*** SOLD ***
For sale is a very nice modified 1957 Chevrolet Nomad. I bought this car seven years ago at the Kruse Auction in Indiana. The car is in very nice shape but has been modified from the original. It will make for a great daily driver or a great foundational starting point for a complete restoration.
Since I purchased the Nomad I have done the following work on it.
Installed a new Edelbrock 4 barrel intake manifold and Holley carburetor.
Installed a new set of Hooker Headers and Flowmaster mufflers.
Installed new tires and American wheels.
Installed a complete set of new brake shoes and drums.
Installed a new radio antenna.
Installed new rear springs, shocks and lowering blocks.
Installed a new battery.
Since purchase, I have driven it approximately 3000 miles. It is a very nice reliable cruiser. It seats two up front and three across the back. Then motor is a later model non-computerized 350 with Turbo 350 automatic transmission. It still has the cool combination power steering/generator unit. The body fit is very good and the glass is in great shape. The interior is clean. This car is a real eye catcher and I always get a lot of attention when we take her out for a drive. When stopped, I frequently getting people coming up and asking questions and many of them recall past experiences with Nomads or family/friends that owned them in years past and the memories they made in their lives. It is a real conversation starter. Lots of fun!
